FHS Choir – Twins National Anthem Info

Dear Parents and Students—- involved with the Twins Game National Anthem,

Tomorrow is our day to sing the National Anthem prior to the game. All tickets were sent home in envelopes. The forecast calls for cooler temps tomorrow evening with a pretty good chance of precipitation. But the staff at Target Field has already let me know that they will be doing everything they can to get this game in because the Mariners will not be returning to town and there would be no chance to reschedule. With that in mind, here are some reminders and suggestions:

Schedule:

4:00 p.m. Students meet in choir room to rehearse the anthem. If you will be riding home from the game with a parent we need to know at that time.

4:40 p.m. Load Busses outside door 7. Friends and Family who are riding the bus, you should park by the flagpoles or faculty lot on far side of loading dock.

6:00 p.m. Arrive at Target Field and wait to be escorted into the stadium by Twins Staff. YOU ALL NEED YOUR TICKET with you at that time.

7:10 p.m. is the anticipated start time of the game. We sing the anthem 10-20 minutes prior to the first pitch. Tell friends to tune in! Average length of a MLB game is 3 hours. We will load busses and return home about 40 minutes after the last inning. However, things could change given weather. We will be setting up a group “remind” text that students will join at rehearsal tomorrow and this is how we will communicate any necessary changes to the schedule throughout the evening.

Attire:

GREY FHS CHOIR T-SHIRT. After that its up to you. Jeans, shorts, etc..  BRING A RAIN COAT and perhaps another layer to keep you warm. We will be able to set these items aside while we sing.
