Choir Tour 2021!
Are you ready for choir tour in 2021? We are!
In April 2021, Farmington High School Choir students will have the opportunity to travel to amazing Puerto Rico! We will be traveling over spring break, April 5th-10th, 2021. We will be in Puerto Rico for 6 days and 5 nights. Students will travel to San Juan, Fajardo, and Ponce. While there our students will see and experience the following and much more:
- El Yungue National Forest Eco-Tour: Walking tour in this Tropical Rainforest ending with a swim underneath the waterfalls.
- Luquillo Beach: an afternoon at this beach of fine sand lined with majestic coconut trees
- La Parguera Eco-boat tour: cruise through the mangrove cays. Iguana feeding, bird watching and catching starfish!
- Bioluminescent Night Bay Tour: Partake in a supervised swim in a dark bay with billions of dinoflagellates. Watch the water light up as the fish glow when they move underwater.
- Community Service Project: exchange and interact with students and assist teachers at a humble elementary school.
We will be traveling with Gateway Music Festivals & Tours and we are so excited about the cultural, educational, and performance experiences they are putting together for our group. The tentative cost for this trip, including airfare, 13 meals, and hotel is: $2550.00 (subject to change based on airfare pricing, we will know 11 months before we travel). Tour is open to 10th-12th grade students in the 2020-2021 school year who are enrolled in our choir program.
