Concordia College High School Choral Festival
Dear Concert Choir Families, We are so excited about our opportunity to bring FHS Concert Choir as a featured choir to the Concordia College High School Choral Festival on Jan. 24th-25th, 2020 in Moorhead, MN. This is a huge honor to be invited to sing with 3 other Minnesota high school choirs as well as the Concordia Choir under the direction of Dr. René Clausen. Our choir will get a clinic with Dr. Clausen, rehearsals with all choirs involved, and the option to take a voice lesson from the college staff. Peach Orders are closed for 2019! It’s time again for the ever popular FHS Choir Peach Sale! You’ll also see information about this in our fall letter, but we’d like to announce the annual Peach Sale has begun. If you’ve purchased this Washington Peaches before and sold them to friends and family, you know that this is always a hit! Here are instructions on the timeline, cost and how to place your orders. Order collection for the Peach Fundraiser runs from Monday, August 5th to Thursday, August 15th. We will be selling Washington Peaches for $20 a box (average of 20-24 peaches per 10lb box). FHS Choir – Twins National Anthem Info
Dear Parents and Students—- involved with the Twins Game National Anthem, Tomorrow is our day to sing the National Anthem prior to the game. All tickets were sent home in envelopes. The forecast calls for cooler temps tomorrow evening with a pretty good chance of precipitation. But the staff at Target Field has already let me know that they will be doing everything they can to get this game in because the Mariners will not be returning to town and there would be no chance to reschedule. 2019 Awards Concert Details
Come hear the FHS choirs and see all their accomplishments for the year in their last concert. Because of the number of choirs and length of this concert they’re split into two shows. All concerts are in the recital hall in FHS. 6pm – Men’s Choir, Women’s Choir 7:30PM – Cantabile, Concert Choir and New Dimension As is customary for the final concert of the year, come enjoy their medley’s in the second half of the concerts complete with costumes and choreography! All-State Choir Takes 6 Farmington Students
It is with immense pride that we announce our selections to the 2019-2020 All-State Choir program. This year we had 6 honorees, a record for our choir program! We are so proud of these students for their hard work and dedication – the All-State Music program is truly the highest honor for a high school music student and it is a very competitive audition process. Students will spend a week at the All-State Music Camp in August; this year at St. Olaf College. The week will culminate with a concert on the last day. The following February, the choirs will meet again, this time to perform at Orchestra Hall. Choir…

Choirpalooza 2019
Dear Parents/Guardians, We are so excited for our upcoming Choirpalooza Concert on Tuesday, March 19th! Choirpalooza is a panoramic concert featuring our 6th graders, incoming and exiting level choirs at the high school for a broad view of our 6-12 choral program. Each choir will sing a few feature songs as well as combined songs with over 500 voices!
